What factors should be paid attention to in the lighting of buildings?

1. What effect is to be achieved

Due to the different appearance of the building itself, different lighting effects may be produced. Either the feeling is relatively uniform, or the light and shade change is strong, which can be either a plain expression or a more lively expression, all of which depend on the properties of the building itself.

2. Choose the right light source

The choice of light source should consider factors such as light color, color rendering, efficiency, life and so on. The color of light has a considerable relationship with the material color of the exterior wall of the building. Generally speaking, bricks and yellow-brown stone are more suitable for irradiation with warm light, and the light source is high-pressure sodium lamp or halogen lamp. White or pale marble can be illuminated with cool white light with a higher color temperature (duplex metal lamp), but it is not impossible to use high pressure sodium lamps.

3. Calculate the required illuminance value

The lighting requirements of building lighting projects mainly depend on the brightness of the surrounding environment and the color of the exterior wall materials of the building. The recommended illuminance values are for the main facade (main viewing direction). Generally speaking, the illuminance of the secondary façade is half of the main façade, and the difference of light and shade on the two sides can show the three-dimensional structure of the building.

4. Choose the appropriate lighting method

According to the characteristics of the building, according to the current situation of the building foundation, determine the most suitable lighting method, so as to achieve the ideal lighting effect.

5. Choose the right lighting

Generally speaking, the projection angle of the square flood light is larger, and the angle of the round flood light is smaller. The effect of wide-angle lamps is relatively uniform, but it is not suitable for long-distance projection; narrow-angle lamps are suitable for long-distance projection, but when used at close range, the uniformity is poor. In addition to the selection of lamps, the light distribution characteristics, materials, dustproof and waterproof rating (IP) of lamps and lanterns are also factors to be considered.

6. On-site debugging after installation

On-site adjustment is required. The projection direction of each lamp designed by the computer is only used as a reference, and the illuminance value calculated by the computer is only a reference value. Therefore, the on-site adjustment of each lighting project after installation should actually be based on what the human eye sees.
