1. Flood lighting

Using floodlights (flooding lights) to illuminate the exterior decorative surfaces of buildings to make them brighter than the surrounding environment, showing the shape of the building and highlighting the overall appearance of the building, is a more commonly used method for facade lighting. The effect of floodlighting is not only related to the light intensity and color of the light source, but also to the light absorption and reflection capabilities of the building exterior wall materials, as well as the building background or environmental brightness.

  2. Contour lighting

The point light source or pixel light  is installed along the outline of the building shape and decorative details, showing the outline of the building. Point light sources include LEDs and electrodeless lamps; line light sources include fluorescent lamps, cold cathode lamps, and side-emitting optical fibers. Contour lighting is especially suitable for night scene lighting of buildings with obvious architectural features or large-screen glass.

  3. Internal lighting

The light source is installed in the building, through the glass screen or door and window corridor, the light is transmitted outward to achieve the effect of facade lighting. There are special internal lighting equipment, and there are also functional lighting in the building that doubles as internal lighting, but the self-functional lighting should be used first, which saves investment and is easy to maintain. It is suitable for glass curtain wall buildings with many glass windows or large areas. It works better when the environment is dark. The light source is a fluorescent lamp.

  4, wall lighting

Use special lighting equipment and technologies such as optical fibers, light guide tubes, microwave sulfur lamps, lasers, light-emitting diodes, neon lights, projection lights and flame lights to illuminate and decorate building facades to create a beautiful image of buildings at night.

  5. Integrated lighting

Due to the special shape or special requirements of the object to be illuminated, it is difficult to achieve the ideal night scene lighting effect in one way, and multiple methods are needed to achieve a near-perfect artistic lighting effect.
